Application Process and Forms

Application forms can be obtained from the Trust’s Administrator by e-mail request to the following address: wixamtree@thetrustpartnership.com, from the link below or by telephone request to the Trust’s dedicated enquiry line, 020-8777-4140. The Administrator prefers completed forms to be returned by e-mail so that any amendments can be made before they are presented to the Trustees for consideration at their quarterly meetings.

There are two application forms available. The general one is used mainly by Bedfordshire based organisations and national charities which run projects or services within the county. The other form has been designed in conjunction with the Beds and Herts Historic Churches Trust (BHHCT) for sending to Bedfordshire churches seeking support for repairs to the fabric of their buildings. This latter form is submitted directly to the Secretary of the BHHCT in order that a local assessor can fully evaluate the project before a recommendation is made to the Wixamtree Trustees.

In addition to the completed application form the charity is required to supply a copy of its latest audited Report and Accounts. If these are not available in electronic format then they need to be sent to the Administrator by post. The Administrator then reviews the accounts to ensure that the figures tally with those declared on the application form.

When a completed application form is received it is reviewed by the Administrator and any necessary amendments made. The Administrator checks to see what previous support has been given and adds this information to the application form together with his initial recommendation to the Trustees. The Trustees prefer to give single donations rather than multiple annual commitments, except in a small number of cases.
